Maddie Gwinn is a Visual Narrative Architect, whose unique fuse as a non-fiction editor and producer has led her to build a global filmmaking network.
Beginning on the West Coast, she grew up making films in Seattle and studied directing & philosophy at Chapman University outside of Los Angeles. She wrote her top university prized thesis with the Czech Film Archive in Prague and went on to study documentary at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in Germany.
Following a story from her travels, Maddie lived in Prishtina, Kosova for two years to make her debut feature documentary Palace of Youth, executive produced by Oscar-winning Shane Boris & Odessa Rae. The film is currently in the 2026 festival run.
